After a solid debut season in the Hurricanes colours Andrew Hill has decided to head back to the Berri club in the Riverland. Andrew soon became a club favourite after fitting into the Marion culture right away and showed his passion for the club with some great performances on the green. Perhaps a highlight of this would have been the first home game of the season where Andrew's last bowl of the game proved the match winner and set the side off for a very strong first half of the season. From everyone we wish 'Swan", Amanda and the boys all the best. A great effort by Marion's Henselite Cup team making it to the final against Payneham. Unfortunately the very strong Payneham outfit were just a little too good on the night. The match finished with two rubbers a piece which forced the game into the cut-throat 3 end shootout where Payneham where victorious 4-3. The Marion club singles title was battled out between Ashley Klose and Colin "Cowboy" Harding in near perfect conditions. In a repeat of last years semi-final and the 2006 final, it was Ashley who shot out to a convincing lead early with a good mix of draw/drive bowls. With Colin unable to settle "Cougar" ran out with a comfortable victory making it two in a row for Marion's "young gun"
