Greens usage: Roy has advised the Club of an incident lately which is of concern. On Sunday (22/11) the greens were closed due to excessive dampness of the greens. The status of all the greens on the availability board was changed to CLOSED. When the greens’ staff returned on the afternoon of the 22nd someone had changed the status to open and it was obvious that B green had been used. This is unacceptable and detrimental to good management of the greens. Members are requested to respect the guidelines laid down by the Greens’ Staff so that we may continue to play on greens that are up there with the best in the state.

Ashley Klose will be back in town this week to play in our 3rd round home game against Adelaide, then he is back on the plane to the NSW Premier League.

Bradley Klose has joined the army! We are sad to announce the semi-retirement of one of our finest players. He is in the army now, and will be off to basic training in December, the good news is we will get a few more games from the champion before he goes. Good luck luck with your new career Brad.

Congratulations to our newest state champions, Bob Miller, Ian Huckel & Bradley Klose won the state triples title in an impressive display at the Hawthorn bowling club. Defeating club-mates Max Harrison, Michael White (Som) and Ashley Klose in the semi-final, the Hurricane boys turned up the heat in the final against ex-state players Luke Pietersma and Brett Davis of Salisbury running out eight shot winners in the final! Well done guys!
