With bowls season underway the club is open most days and evenings if you are looking to practice or for a drink.

An exciting shootout to decide rink of the week. Rink Skippers Ted Hibberd and Stu Forbes battle with old bowls for the free drinks. It was enjoyed by a gallery of club members both inside and out with Stu taking out the tie-break end to break the deadlock.

The Cash Jackpot Draw takes place every Thursday at 6.30pm.

Victory at home for the Hurricanes

Our Premier One team took to our greens for their first home game in a while against Kensington/Marryatville on the weekend. After what proved to be a close encounter for most of the game Marion came out victorious by 8 shots overall, collecting 12 points.

Ashley Klose and his rink bounced back to the winners list with a strong 12 shot victory after trailing early in the game. The margin ensured a positive overall outcome for the team with all other rinks engaged in close encounters. An extra 2 points was collected by the rink skipped by Ken Holtham who fought hard in a tight battle to come out 3 shot winners. Stuey Forbes and Adam Forbes and their rinks both had narrow losses and were unlucky to not provide further points for the Hurricanes.

The team closed in on top of the table Grange due to the win and now sit only 2 points behind in second place. With a tough road trip to play an improved West Lakes side next week our guys will need to be at their best to bring home the chocolates.
